  • Crises and cookies

This weekend I'll be working thru several major crises at work. Our entire unit is facing one and management is buying lunch for everyone- sandwiches, fruit salad and cookies. I plan to stay strong and eat my brown bag of tuna, avocado, olives, and fancy cheese. Why must carbs lurk so closely to major crises in life?

I am a bit afraid about handling the challenges there without a giant cookie in my hand!

I'm treating myself to sashimi Monday if I survive this though. The sweetest reward would be a major weight loss day 14!

YOU CAN SURVIVE IT WITHOUT THE COOKIE!!!!!!!

You can, you can, you can!! After all, you know in your head what that cookie will get you!! It'll get you what you've already got...weight to lose, right? DO NOT let the temptation derail your induction! Doing a clean induction is far too important to let failure creep in...plus, sometimes it does more than creep! You CAN do this! There's nothing remotely sweet in the things you mentioned you're taking. Just a quick tip. Check labels, of course, but, a dill pickle works everytime for me. Your brain cannot differentiate between sweet and sour. It doesn't know the difference. So, slice or chop one up. Take it with you. Walk away from the carb loaders if you have to. The cookie ain't the real cookie if you know what I mean! Success is the real cookie. Loving yourself, taking care of yourself and living well is the real cookie. Give yourself THAT cookie! It'll pay you back, I promise!

everlosing is SO right. It's not worth it and you pretty much won't perform as well with those sugar highs and lows! Besides, fancy cheese is better than any cookie
