      Re: Jelly

well it seems it has aspartame in which is not recommenced as stall's weight loss.

I couldn't stop drinking diet coke lat week, managed to stop and started losing weight again (had stalled), so i think in large quantities (was on 2 liters a day!) it can effect.

I had a small portion with some cream tonight so see how it goes, other than that i have lost 8 pounds in little over a week, so not bad i guess

          hi you two

I am also in UK, and as far as I know none of the sugarfree jelly packets available over here are 'legal' as they all ahve aspartame in them.

You can get unsweetened gelatine and make your own sugarfree jelly using splenda instead.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Yep, another UK'er ere as well!

I don't think a little will hurt, Tesco Premium Diet Lemonade is also OK to drink as its aspartame free, has replaced my diet coke, and as i don't like it as much i drink less of it! lol

              Re: Jelly

Don't forget to count your servings of sweet stuff towards your daily sweetener intake, which is limited to 3 servings. One serving of diet soda (usually 8 oz) is considered equivalent to one serving of sweetener. One serving of jelly is also one serving of sweetener. If you sweeten your whipped cream, that will add to your sweetener intake too.

Personally I don't understand why one would risk slowing down or stalling his/her weight loss for some store-bought jelly when it's so easy to make your own. Dr. Atkins gave the "avoid aspartame whenever possible" advice for a reason. He wanted us to follow Induction by the Rules, so at the end of the 14-days we are able to use the info in Chapters 12 and 13 to evaluate our results and decide how to proceed. Why would you make important info you'll need for the next step in your Atkins (e.g. the charts with the degrees of metabolic resistance) useless? Aspartame-sweetened jelly does not taste good enough to worth it, imo.
