  • Pls help with assessment of IN N OUT plus veggies

hi there! i'm sorry if this sounds so lame, but i need help assessing the measurements of my veggies today.... i'm doing fitday and i really want to be sure/exact about what i put in it.

i had IN N OUT double double protein style today - that is, (2) 100% beef patties, (2) slices of American cheese, (2) medium rings of tomatoes, about (3) rings of onion, some mustard...all wrapped in maybe about 3 leaves of iceberg lettuce (instead of bun). it was really soo good, btw. The thing is, i usually measure my veggies using my weighing scale at home, but this morning i was on the road and just grabbed in n out on my way to the hospital, so i dont have any idea how much should i allocate for my "OTHER VEGGIES" , and "SALAD VEGGIES". i am trying to imagine chopping them and putting them in my measuring cup but i just couldn't....does anyone have an idea how much is 2 RINGS OF ONION, 2 RINGS OF TOMATOES in terms of cup measurement?

    thanks so much!

Fitday does slices of onions (ring is a part of a slice, yes? - make your best guestimate - that is what I do) Fitday also does slices of tomato. I think as long as you were under 20 carbs, don't sweat those cups. You can get back to them when you make your meals. American cheese is not on the induction list btw. It is too milky and carby. (And that is a bummer because that kind of cheese is pretty good with burgers)

Oh don't worry about it. It is a minor thing. You can just make sure that you have real cheese for the rest. Sounds like you are losing. Way to go.

I was all proud of myself for not eating the bun but now I see i should have not have had the cheese.

I guess minor mess ups happen but that burger was delicious lol

if you know you are going to eat out you can take a slice of cheddar cheese (allowed on induction) with you and add it to your burger. Don't use pre shredded cheese because it is tossed with potato starch (not allowed) to keep it from sticking together. When I leave the house I normally take a couple slices of cheese (1 ounce) in case I need a snack while I'm out (I'm diabetic) OR in case we eat out and I need cheese for a burger or other meat.....

              Good luck
              Carole

You know you're on Atkins when you're carrying cheddar cheese or boiled eggs in your purse
