  • Day one for me

    Hi I'm BetEboop!!!!!

    I love this site and have lurked on it all day long.

    Just thought I'd let everyone know that I am here and ready to get started on my new WOE.

    Today is my first day and so far I've done okay.

    I'm coming off a very low cal, no fat, no slat, no fruit, no sugar, no flavor diet that worked my last nerve

    I am currently 267. My highest was 285. I am married with two children and live in NC.

    I'm tired of being fat and am ready to be healthy.

    Well, I have set a min goal for myself. ANd that is to commit to getting through today.

    I have had many obstacles today. Free goodies inthe break room. A working lunch where they order out to Panera Bread Company a sandwich shop. Ugh. I just declined it all and ate my on-plan food.

    I need to look into the dessert recipes so that I can get something sweet to nibble on or at least have for dessert.

    Right now, I have a headache hiding behind my eyes. It won't show itseld fully, but I know it's there.

    So far today I giev myself an A for effort. I have stayed on plan and have finished 80 oz of water. 20 oz more to go and I'm through.

      welcome to ADBB and to Atkins. The headache as you know from reading about "induction flu" is normal and will go a way in a day or 2. Good for you sticking to your guns. Read your book again and pay close attention tot he part about recruiting your family friends and coworkers to be support buddies as that could have help you today at lunch.

      SKip the sweets and desserts right now as that is what got most of us here in the firstplace. Now is the time to kill your sweettooth and coincentrate on making lifestyle changes that will keep you healthier and smaller forthe rest of your life. Remember Dr Atkins said sweets and desserts are to be occasional treats not everyday events!

      We have a special exercise challenge in the Century Club for all those TDLers if you'd like to join us the April topic went up this morning. If not check out the exercise board and exercise challenge forum for our 6WEC or the ADBB presidents challenge or the coolrunning one for all the runners we have a Pengiun wantabie walking challenge to and are on a virtual walk cross the US.
