Largely negative effect... nope. The 65-5-30 percentages are approximately what Dr. Atkins' recommended for the Duke experiment, but they are not written in stone. Did you follow all the Rules of Induction? Drank water, took vitamin supplements, exercised? Are you satisfied with your foods? If the answer is yes, then you're doing fine. If however you are hungry soon after a meal (hunger is not signaled only by a growling stomach, but it could also be by fatigue, dizziness, etc.), you might try adding a little more protein.

Did any "Induction flu" symptoms bother you? Any positive changes you've noticed?

Im on the 4th day and i think im feeling a bit of the induction flu right now, slight headache feel down in general.
Ive had 2+ litres of water a day (drank that before the diet) my 3 cups of veggies, exercise and im not feeling hungry after my meals - the complete opposite. Only thing im not doing is taking vitamin tablets.

Could you post your menus please?

Were you exercising before or is this something new for you?

How did your body measurements change?

Oh, and by the way, there is no way you can gain 3 lbs of fat in 4 days. You'd have to be on a mission.

The weight you've gained is probably water weight, but it would be useful to know why this happened. It's something that's good to know regardless of the eating plan you're following.

giving up after 4 days doesn't do yourself or the plan justice. As Georgiana said, post your menus and get some help.
