Im PMSING !! I JUST STARTED INDUCTION AGAIN .. DAMN IT

  • Im PMSING !! I JUST STARTED INDUCTION AGAIN .. DAMN IT

    What should I do.. Its TOM again !! .. but the thing is i just started induction, lost 2 Kg already.. n' stopped !! .. I can't eat when im on TOM for the first 2 days.. n' then there's the problem.. the whole SWEEETTTTTTT CARVINGS !!!

    Please tell me what to do

    Also, if u can, please review my menu..


    Breakfast:

    2 Eggs with 1/2 chopped green onion + 2 green pepers +2 1/4 chopped tomato + a medium slice of Chedder cheese

    1 Black cofee

    Lunch:

    Grilled Chicken + green veggie soup

    * sometimes when Im dieing for something sweet.. I have one Pepsi diet or Sprit Zero


    Dinner:

    1 can of Light tuna with lettuce n' mayoo

    Try taking L-Glutamine for the sweet cravings.

    Also, from your menu, it doesn't look like you're eating enough fat, specifically, and enough food, generally. You might want to post your daily menu in the Review My Menu forum for some more specific feedback.

        It's a supplement Dr. Atkins recommended for sugar cravings.

        Keep your Atkins emergency kit near. Try not to overeat, but don't eat too little either. Make sure your fat is high and you are eating your 3 cups of veggies. If you do overeat, at least eat something "legal".

        Are you craving anything in particular? Maybe there's a low carb, Induction-legal substitute we could suggest.

          Coffee can trigger cravings by messing up your insulin level. It might also cause water retention... as if TOM wasn't enough for that.

          Lunch:

          Is this cooked with some fat? Fat will keep you full between meals, thus reducing the chances you cheat or overeat.

          These may actually make matters worse by triggering a cephalic response. The exact amount of sweetener in diet sodas is not something you know or can control. They are also sweetened with aspartame, which may cause a stall in your weight loss.

          If you are dieing for something sweet, why not make something yourself? First, you'll know how much sweetener there's in it, and second, you'll eat less or less often because it asks for more work than just opening a bottle.

          Good luck making it through. Many of us are rewarded with some weight loss when TOM passes, so hang in there.

            THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR ANSWERING Me ..

            Well unfourtunatly all we have here is splenda and something like Aspartam, not really sure what's it called.

            I don't think I over eat, cause I dunt eat that much now, unlike my first Atkins trial.. now I barely eat the 3 meals.. and i'm never hungry after lunch except like 4 or 5 hours after it. I try not to eat much at night.

            Well.. I'm terrible at cooking, But i'd love to try new things that it's ingredients are affordable here, where I live..

            Ohh i'm Dieing FOR A CHEESE cAKE !! .. Do u have a recipi or somthing? .. Again we dont have heavy cream here, not that I know of, but we have half and half milk or Baking Powder .. we also have Whipped Cream ( the flavoured white thing not the liquid, cuz I always get confused between it and the whipping cream)

            I can't have black cofee cause I have gasteritse and it is killing me, so I use skimmed milk which I know is forbidden on Atkins but I can't help it, would it be better if I used full cream, since the Skimmed I know have more Carbs !

            I try to have Raw veggies as much as I can, but As i said, I don't really have much of an appitite now, Atkins really made me lose That !!..

            I hope Its possible to upload a Picture of me now and would get other people's feed back just to know where I stand, I think I have to lose 10 more Kilos ( lost 20 already).. But I dunno, I think im chubby but not fat, But defintly need to LOSE weight !!

            Is that Possible, to upload A picture?.. Or I could just send u a Picture of me via email and I can get ur feedback.. I'd love for you to be my diet buddy. review my menus and support me, u seem to be very helpful and nice too =)

              Splenda is one of the "legal" sweeteners. But as with any food, you'd have to see if it works for you.

              Are you getting enough fat in your menus? Are you using FitDay to see what your percentages are?

              Sweetened whipped cream is not allowed. The fluid is the one that is---that you can whip and sweeten yourself.

              None of them would be okay for Induction, but you could have them in OWL Rung 2. Coffee is not good for gastritis regardless of whether you add milk in it or not... so coffee & milk could both be sabotaging your health and weight loss. Why not give it up altogether? Do you feel you need caffeine or is drinking coffee just a habit? Or maybe a cultural thing?

              You could also cook your veggies, no need to eat them raw (although you should measure them raw). Appetite suppression is great on Induction, but make sure you are getting all your veggies in---they provide you with the vitamins, minerals and fiber your body needs.

              You can upload a picture on ADBB. Click on the "Gallery" tab on top of the page (where "User CP", "Portal", "New Posts", etc. are). On the next page, you'll see another toolbar, which has a tab saying "Upload" (on the same line with "My Stuff", "What's New", "What's Popular", etc.). Click on it... Then select the files from your computer which you wish to upload (there's a button with "Select Files to Upload" written on it). Then click on "Submit" at the bottom of the page and that should be it. Don't worry if the pictures don't appear immediately.

              Also, to avoid spam and other nastiness, I would suggest you remove the email address from your previous post. You never know who's roaming the forums...

                  its horrible having the cravings. i been having them to. do u knw if its ok to be on atkins whilst on the contraceptive pill, i did post it in another section but had no reply??

                    Well, that's something I never had... no idea how it tastes. But I know from the threads here that it's not legal---the brands you find in supermarkets have sugar added.

                    You can make your own apparently:
                    Diabetic Recipes | Homemade Worcestershire Sauce
                    but you have to be super careful with the soy sauce. Depending on how it's made and what its ingredients are, it may not be allowed during Induction.

                      There's A section in DANDR about pregnent women on Atkins, I think you'll find the answer there, I'm not really sure so I dunt want to say smthn that is wrong !.. Sry.. I wish I could help

                        I finally knew what Heavy cream is . appearntly we call it something else here in egypt ..

                        I think i'll try doing the cheese cake, Hope it works !! I LOVE IT n' If it is really 2 carb.. ILL EAT IT LIKE ALL THE TIME

                        I tried fried cheese from Linda's recipies.. ITS AMAZING !!
