  • Whey Protein Powder on Induction?

    Hi!

I am on day 3 of induction with good results. Lost about one pound (certainly water weight, but that's ok). I am wondering whether whey protein powder is allowed on induction. I would like to use it for making pancakes. I have Designer Whey Protein which has 2 grams of carbs per serving. The other is Gold Standard Whey which has 4 grams of carbs per serving.

My other question is about calories. I know that we don't count them but are there certain minimum or maximum margins that people learned they have to keep in order to lose on a constant basis?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA

We usually say that if it is an isolate it is fine but if it is just whey protein it is better to wait to rung 2 when you try out dairy generally.
Looks like a good one - it has artifical sweeteners so when you start using it make sure you count them.

When it comes to calories there are different approaches for sure. I think most of us tend to eat around our daily requirement. I use Fitday calculations to find out what they are (you know approximately) But in the time have done Atkins I have never really sweated it when it comes to calories.

    Hope day 3 is good.

Yup, no whey protein concentrate allowed during Induction, but you can introduce that protein powder in OWL.

Also watch your fat-carb-protein percentages when you are drinking the shakes.
