  • Starting Day 7...I am halfway there!

Well I was a busy beaver this past weekend. Between Working, having a soccer party withour Provincial Championship team, and having to do my boy's birthday shopping (they are turning 4 & 6 on April 9 & 15) I am TIRED!

I also don't feel like I am progressing anywhere. I am not particularly noticing changes in my figure or my clothes. ...But I will trudge on. And I refuse to step on the scale for another week....

My eating has been very good. I have not waivered from the Acceptable foods list, though at our little soccer party I may have overdone it on the cheese platter...but I had no cheese at all for the following 2 days.

I do Have a Question...SHould I go and make a few tbsp of hot flaxmeal...I think I may be having an elimination issue there

Anyway I just finished my 4th of 8 nights shifts in a row...so forgive me if I am not on here very much until the weekend.....

    Have a good one!

Hi Erin & Cathy :wave - not everyone sees big losses in the first 14 days of induction.
Betty lost nothing the first 2 weeks :yikes but went on to reach goal.
Here is a post from her describing how her Atkins journey went

so just keep on following the rules and I am sure you will be a loser in time - your own body's good time :hug
If you have been having no progress in the 'potty department' this may be one reason your weight has stayed the same :yikes so try adding some flax by all means.
Start with one Tablespoonsworth initially - not several or you might find the problem increases!!
Not everyone likes the consistency of hot flax cereal so be warned!
Flax crackers are a tasty way to get some flax in you - just mix equal quantities of flax & water, leave to thicken then spread out on parchment paper and nuke for a minute or so in the microwave. I have mine with cream cheese but you could use your favourite dip. You can also mix grated parmesan with it for a more cheesy taste.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Great job Erin and Wannabslim! :clapping
You have been disciplined enough to make it thru 7 days. I know you can reach 14.
I've made it thru Day 4 and that potty problem you mentioned is catching! :help LOL I may have to try that flax myself but it sure doesn't sound very appealing. Is there another option like Colace instead?

Well being on a trip and Induction eating hasn't been to bad. Taking my own food was a smart idea. I've kept it cool with dry ice from the beverage carts in the airplane and my own plastic ice pack. Tonight I did eat out and had sashami which was yummy. I then walked the 3 miles back to the hotel in Dallas. I was also VERY good and didn't take the chocolate chip cookie the Doubletree always hands out too!
2 more days to half way!
