Thank you thank you Moochiecat, I don't know what I'd do
thank you thank you Moochie cat without you I'd be blue.....
Well, I REREAD MY DANDR!! and the whole time I was thinkin of you, Moochie cat. Why did I not listen to you sooner?!
It was like an awakening. I realized even in 03 when I successfully lost most of the weight I was not trully doing Atkins.
This passage totally hit home..."Let me state one crucial fact you should always keep in mind: For people who comply with all four phases pf Atkins, failure to maintain weight loss is very rare."
Also I realized how much I had forgotten in 2 years. And I realized that I had never fully believed Atkins before. I never bought into the theory that this diet wasn't a deprivation diet. Mainly because I did not like veggies. My diet when I was doing it in 03 was mainly iceberg lettuce and proteins.
So, I learned that I need to change the holds I have on food that came from childhood. Basically I need to eat my green beans.
Chapter 4 dives into what type of eater you are. I think over my history of weight loss attempts I have changed. Now I am firmly routed in both B and C groups...."I crave food always" and "I can't live without this one food". Ah ha! that is why I'm having a harder time giving up my carbs now.
And Chapter 21, the psychology behind weight loss, was particularly helpful this time.
Now I feel trully prepared to start the Atkins Nutrtional Approach. The right way.
Thank you, Moochecat, for being such a helpful person. I really don't think I would of reread the book without you. And I REALLY needed to do that!
