  • Week 2 of Induction

I made it through week one and feel better than I have in a long time.
The only problem I had over the weekend was feeling a little light headed and shaky, but I was running around all day - cause I have more energy!!!!!!!

Lightheadedness (is that a word?) can be from lower blood pressure. If you are on meds for BP, you may want to see a doc to check/lower their levels.

Glad you are doing well & are energetic!

Also, make sure you are sufficiently hydrated. With increased activity, it is important to drink additional water.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.

Re: Week 2 of Induction -Went to the Doctor

I'm drinking about 100 ounces of water a day, but I live about 20 miles from the Mexican border and average temp right now is between 95 to 100 degrees, so maybe I need to increase my intake.
I went to my doctor yesterday to get checked out and guess what????
My BP went from 146/83 to 127/79 and I lost 12 lbs. in just one week.
The doctor couldn't believe it!!!!!!! He's been harping on me to have gastric bypass surgery now for several months, but I promised my family that I would sincerely make an effort to lose weight and after six months see where I'm at.
After my doctors shock wore off, do you know what he said? "Well you know gastric bypass surgery really works."
He wants me to check in once a month and have my weight and BP checked. Boy is he gonna be shocked every month.....

          Way to go!

My husband got a similar reaction from his doctor -- "Well, you're not going to keep the drug companies in business, are you?"

P.S. We switched doctors after that!

Lightheadedness can also be caused by having your calorie count too low... do you know how many calories you are averaging daily?
