  • Sick during induction...

I've got a really bad cold right now, sore throat, chest and head congestion, runny nose. It manifested itself on day 4 of induction. I've heard of Atkin's Flu, but don't have much info other than it is toxins leaving your body.

Could this be Atkin's Flu, or could the cold just be exacerbated by the change in diet? (I'm probably going to have to take some sort of cold medicine tonight. I've been holding off, but there has been no sleep. ugh.)

You just have the unfortunate bad luck to get a cold at the same time as starting a diet... take your medicine for the cold, eat your diet food, and hopefully by next week you will be feeling great!

Atkins flu symptoms do not include runny nose, fever or coughing. More characteristic of my current I.F. is brain fog and oily skin.
