  • end of week 2 - advice needed

    Hi everyone

Today is the 14th day of my induction period, so far I have dropped from 234 to 224 (obviously would have preferred more but I'm not complaining), I am a 6ft 35yo male and my goal at the moment is to end up somewhere around 185-190. Bearing in mind that I still have another 40 or so to lose, I would appreciate some advice from those with experience on whether I should extend the induction for the time being. I'm not a particularly fussy eater and am having no real problems with it in terms of missing certain foods or drinks (other than beer), though I do still tend to get hungry after a couple of hours and have never experienced this energy rush I've read so much about, but I wouldn't have an issue carrying on as I am now for the foreseeable future if that is for the best. Thanks in advance!

i would extend it for a couple more weeks if you still losing weight at same rate. after you start slowing down, go on extended.

I would move on to OWL and start up the rungs....you can add new foods which will help when you have those "hungry after a couple hour" feelings. People think by staying on induction you'll loose faster but that isn't necessarily the case with everyone.

Don't worry about not experiencing the energy rush --- I never did either!! I know I'm in keotsis even when the weight isn't leaving because of the taste in my mouth & strong urine smell - plus I'm still loosing inches -- but I never felt like I could kick the world with additional energy...I think there are many who don't get that.

You don't have to rush up the rungs, the first rung is 5 additional net carbs of veggies -- they can be what gets you through when you get hungry -- you can stay on a rung a week, a month or indefinately -- that part is up to you.

Give OWL a chance -- you'll like it. Check the OWL thread for more info. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ght-loss-owl/'

      Good luck!!
      Carole

I agree with Carole, you have lost nearly 20% of your total amount needed to lose in 2 weeks which shows you have a low resistance to weightloss so would gain no benefit from hanging around on induction for longer

Time to start the main weightloss phase of Atkins and begin to discover your CCLL and any foods that affect you adversely
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
