Yes, I am that fat lady...BUT NOT FOR LONG IF I KEEP ORDERING THAT CHEESE.
I started on induction yesterday. I have done Atkins on and off for 10 years. If I had stuck to it any length of time during that 10 years, I wouldn't be in the situation I'm in now.
In my teens and 20's, I dieted because I wanted to be svelte. I never WAS svelte, but that was my goal. Now, I just want to be healthy. I'm a 36 year old who feels like a 96 year old. My boys (7 and 9) deserve a mom with more energy, as does my new husband of 18 months. I no longer care about catching some guy's attention- now I just want to walk by that guy without huffing and puffing and sweating on him.
So, I'm ready to go with this for the first time in several years. Oh yes, I've tried a few times over the past years to start induction but by 6pm on the first day, I feel like some truck ran over me and my wimpy self quits. Induction really does hit me hard but I've determined I have no choice. I am so insulin resistant (due to PCOS) that nothing else works for me. I made it through yesterday and have made it through today. I have the headache and the feeling that I'm walking through sand but I haven't died yet, so I'm gonna keep going.
Good luck to all of you who are on the same journey! I look forward to getting healthy together!
