  • YUM! cauliflour rice... where have you been all my life??!

    Hi all

have been starting to experiment with induction foods, as until now its been mostly omlettes, cooked poultry & fish, roasted veg & salads... so tonight I grated some cauliflour and pan fried it with some olive oil, added corrinder and chilli peppers..... YUMMY!!!!!!! Im gonna start reading up on some more induction recepies now! I have the DR Atkins cookbook, but sometimes find it hard to translate the ingredients as im over here in the UK!

I really wanna make the cheesecake (without the almond flour base) as im still on induction - but cant find splenda in granulated form only in tablet form... any ideas??

Ive lost 14lbs in 3 weeks and have started runnning again.. have joined gym with my hubby, its good to be back in the gym!

check the recipe links we use here -- there are plenty of UK members who might be able to help you....I'm sure if you PM's Elizellen she would be more than happy to help you find the items you need, and also help with recipes -- she has yummie looking meals all the time.

Cauliflower can be just about anything...I had it boiled and made up like mashed potatoes the other night....I've had the "loaded cauliflower" which tasted just like a baked potato with everything on top....I never knew how much I liked cauliflower until I found Linda's site (the first link) and started making things.

Waitrose and Somerfield sell granulated splenda for certain, and I imagine most other large supermarkets will. It might be in a slightly different area of the shop from the tablets, among the baking stuff rather than near the coffee & tea.

It used to come in glass jars but they have changed the packaging to a cardboard box

Was it raw cauliflower that you grate? or already cooked? Sounds awesome! I have had the loaded cauli before....Loved that!

Good luck in findding the splenda. You could always phone them and ask if they stock it. The gelatine should be in the baking section.
I would avoid the rowntrees sugarfree jelly as it is sweetened with aspartame. I haven't found any brands of jelly packets in UK that are sweetened with a 'legal' sweetener
But you never know - some 'own brands' might be, so it would be worth checking labels when out shopping.
