  • on sugar

Ive just realised the tuna ive been eating has 0.7 carbs (all from sugar)

will this 0.7 of sugar be enough to stuff up my induction or put me out of ketosis?

or will it merely slow my weight loss slightly but not affect it drastically?

Ive been eating it all week and im really worried

I haven't lost any weight this week. Do you think this might be the culprit?

        Re: on sugar

Was there sugar added to the tuna?
I would not eat it if there was.
Don't limit your carbs to 5 - eat your veggies. They are going to make you healthy and you need 3 cups of veggies to follow this diet correctly

            Re: on sugar

Was sugar listed as an ingredient?
If not then something else would have been giving the contents of the can those carbs - was it packed with tomato sauce or another ingredient?
If so then tomatoes have natural sugar in them, so though you would need to count the carbs from them it would still be 'legal' for induction

Try to get into the habit of looking at the ingredients as well as the carb count, so you can tell if the 'sugar' listed in the carb count is added sugar/fructose/dextrose/corn syrup/hfcs or any other of sugar's aliases and is therefore off-plan, or if any sugar carbs are from legal ingredients makign it on-plan.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
