  • Help? support needed =)

First of all, I'd like to say a huuuge THANK YOU to all the ppl that inspired me on this forum, i ve read a lot of success stories which were very helpfull and encoraging for me.
I d also like to introduce myself, I m a Atkinser my self, this is my 14 day, and been going great just until the 11 day...so i figured you guys might help me...I ve started my diet with total of 115kilograms (I m from Macedoina, and we measure in kilograms here, i hope thats not a problem?) I think its about 253 lbs, which is not as scary as it sounds because im like 186cm tall =) anyways the first week i lost about 5 kilograms (10 lbs) which made me veeery happy, i was counting my carbs and everything, but than it stoped!! and every next day i stepped on the scale i saw dissapointment =( it even brought back 2 pounds...
And I ve been disciplined..well most of the time...all I ate were vegies and tuna and chicken...maybe some salad dresing here and there...the only possible mistakes were the McDonalds Chicken Salad I ate (not aware that it had so many carbs!!), the fact that i do drink alchohol but only gin (it has no carbs in it) and a beer here and there..aw and i do drink coffee (a cup of turkish coffee per day)... I know it sounds stupid like i did this and this and this wrong, but why i m not loosing weight?? what is my biggest mistake and what is the most likely reason for my weight loosing stagnation =) thank you all once again, you have been a great help and inspiration by now!

I would guess that if anything is upsetting your losses it is likely to be the gin.

Your body will use the alcohol for fuel and not start burning the food you eat till it has exhausted the alcohol, so any losses will be postponed till it has all gone and the body can switch fuel to burn fat.

Another thing to consider is that no-one loses weight in an even manner. We all have times when losses stop or go in reverse and our weight increases, so you are not alone.

Women particularly often experience a gain in weight according to the scales around 'that time of the month' too!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
