I read in the book that you cant eat fruits during induction. Jello is made of natural fruit juice, Is that the same or am I being too picky? What about drinking juice?
I must be doing something wrong with my ticker factory tag. I downloaded it twice and it still doesnt work!
Even though I messed up badly on induction over a month ago, at that time I weighed 193, now after 2 days of serious induction I am at 182!!! WWWWWOOOOWWWWEEEEE!!!!

The problem I hear people talk about with Jello is that it can cause a stall from the aspartame. I didn't realize it actually contained natural fruit juice. ensive And no you absolutely should not be drinking fruit juice. :nono Hope this helps.

who said Jello is made from natural fruit juices, not the sugar free Jello boxes?

I'd strongly suggest your reread your copy of DR ATKINS' NEW DIET REVOLUTION 2002 or newer cause Jello and Juice are both covered.Dr Atkins talks about sugar free gelatin in his book not JELLO! there is a big difference just as the talks about whipped cream made with Splenda not Reddiwhipp in a can! Even when you are in OWL he advices against drinking your fruits as juice. the only exceptions are covered in the specal foods section of chapter 11 for induction.

You can find many recipes in our data base for low carb home made jello which is the generic for all gelatin based desserts from using diet pop to SF syrups as the flavoring.

Pay close attendtion to rule 5 of induction if it isn't on the lists in chapter 11 you can't have it for the next 12 days since you have already done 2 days. You will really really be making a great investment of your time and money if you get and read that book.

      Happy low carbing.

Jello doesn't contain fruit juice, unless you add it yourself. The basic ingredients in it are gelatin, some type of sweetener, artificial color, artificial flavor and preservatives.

The only juice allowed during Induction is lemon or lime juice and it is limited to a couple of tablespoons a day. Other fruit juices are not.

Juice, in general, is not a great thing because it lacks fiber, which helps to blunt the insulin response.
