  • Ketosis

    Hello again my fellow

I was wondering about ketosis - if i'm already in it, what and when can it cause me to get out of it?

I cheated 4 days straight (nothing crazy, but still cheated) and I was already a month and a half into Atkins - So now I restarted but I don't know if to continue where I was or go back into induction - when can ketosis slip away - I'm not too clear about the process

Thanks for any and every input

    Re: Ketosis

Ketosis is the process by which our metabolism converts from a carbohydrate burning system to a fat burning system. If you increase your carbohydrates, you will most likely lose ketosis.

Beginning Induction again will restart ketosis which is necessary for becoming a fat burning "furnace" once again.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.

      Re: Ketosis

Dr Atkins suggested we eat induction for a few days till back in ketosis then pick up the phase of Atkins we were at before eating off-plan.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
