  • Starting Over

I lost my will power for a few days. I ate burger king, McDonalds, Cold Stone Creamery, and pizza. I feel really bad but the damage has been done already. No need to cry over spilled milk so im gonna start over and get back into the swing of things. Im just dreading having to go through induction flu again. Maybe it wont be so bad if i get straight to my taebo to burn these carbs of. Im about to go make my eggs and sausage and start my day! Have a good day everyone.

Try to figure out what made you fall off. Then devise coping skills for the next time it happens.

      Re: Starting Over

Hi Sachet, Very few people here could not have written your post at one time or another. I know that I have fallen short many times; the old patterns of over eating and poor food choices are deeply ingrained. I'm on induction and over did it on pork rinds and dip one night. I was upset with myself for a couple of hours and then decided that I wasn't ready for these treats as I have not learned moderation. I went back to the start and did it right and I'm now 'enjoying' Atkins flu!

My remedy was to shorten my goal; stay on track for this day only and let tomorrow take care of itself. The past three days have been great and I am on my way to my goal. I have a hobby that is kind of silly. I LOVE rollercoasters. With a 44 inch waist, I don't fit in all of them. I simply ask myself if i would rather enjoy coasters, including one particular one that is a problem for 'large guests' or eat something off the plan. My wife, who is gorgeous and slim, with the metabolism of a hummingbird, hates to ride alone! I really want to fit on that ride in a month, so for today I'm going to stay on track.

Let me know how your doing, okay? You are not alone. Make today count!
