    Hi everyone!

    Today is my first day on induction, and I have a few questions to ask about..

    1.) I didn't buy bacon or breakfast sausage because the only kind I could find had a form of sugar in them (dextrose, etc). What kind am I supposed to get?

    2.) Am I allowed avocado on induction?

    3.) I saw olives on the list..does this include avocado?

    4.) What does everyone drink besides water? I used to drink Crystal lite, and don't believe I can.

    5.)How does everyone count their 3 oz of cheese? It seems hard to know how much is 3 oz if I want to spread it out throughout the day

    6.) I had a migraine today and felt sluggish and just wanted to sleep..is this normal?

    I cut my blocks of cheese into 1oz chunks when I get home from the store...easier to grab & go

    You need to drink min 64oz of plain (nothing added) water before you can drink anything else. Aspertame is not recommended as it stalls some people, and that is what is in Crystal Light. In addition to my water, I have a decaf coffee and occasionally a splenda-sweetened pop.

      I rarely had store bought bacon or sausage in early Atkins, so I'll wait for someone else who will answer this question. Regionally, there are different brands recommended by people here.

      2.) Am I allowed avocado on induction?

      Special Category Foods
      To add variety, each day you can also eat 10 to 20 olives, half a small avocado, an ounce of sour cream or three ounces of unsweetened heavy cream, as well as two to three tablespoons of lemon juice or lime juice. But be aware that these foods occasionally slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks. If you seem to be losing slowly, moderate your intake of these foods.

      Yes. Induction Flu is the onset of ketosis.
