  • First day of induction

All of you are such an inspiration to me. I have been lurking for a little while to get information about Atkins, plus I have read the books and bought a few low carb cookbooks. After trying and failing at Weight Watchers and Slimming World, struggling with my hypoglycaemia and gaining even more weight I am fed up with the low fat high carb idea. DH and I cleared out the cupboards of all the carb junk and I have been making a grocery list. I have the flu today too -- that has been coming on for a couple days so I am at home today but I am still doing low carb anyway as I can at least keep chicken soup down. Despite the fact that I stayed in my points on WW, powerwalk 5 to 8 miles a day, I still gained weight! That was so frustrating. I would think that with all the exercise I do and doing Atkins the correct way that I would eventually lose weight and feel better.

Hugs to all my Atkins buddies, I look forward to reading about your adventures with this WOL.

    Welcome!

I'm so glad you have joined us! Many a dedicated dieter has found nothing but frustration, failure and hunger on low fat starvation diets.
You are in good company here.

Eat the foods on the acceptable foods list, drink water, and be merry!
