  • Suggested Controlled Carb Bars?

Does anyone have any controlled carb bars that they particularly enjoy and suggestions as to where to buy them?
I've looked on the Atkins site and the bars on their site seem to be high priced and the nutrition facts are confusing. For example one of the boxes stated that there were 4 net carbs per bar when the nutrition facts for one bar were 18g Total carb, 5g dietary fiber, 1g sugar, 4g sugar alcohol. Why were the remaining carbs from the 18g other than fiber and sugar alcohol netted out? This information comes from the Cinnamon Bun Day Break Bar.

    Re: Suggested Controlled Carb Bars?

The Atkins Bars and other similar products contain ingredients like glycerin and polydextrose, which allegedly aren't absorbed by the body.

But it's been our collective experience on ADBB that these bars/shakes/etc. have a tendency to stall or slow weight loss in some people. Therefore we do not recommend their use during the Induction phase.

Also, many of the ingredients in *most* of these bars are not legal until Rung 9.
