  • Day 4 of induction - MY TONGUE is YELLOW?!?!

I'm very concerned about my tongue all of a sudden becoming yellow and fuzzy looking! Is it due to Atkins? I'm just nervous bc I'm supposed to have my gallbladder removed in 2 weeks and am worried that it could be caused by my gallbladder and liver functioning properly.

    Help!!

What did you eat and drink today?

If it's not from something you ate (and brushing your teeth and tongue makes no difference), then you should see a doctor. Atkins does not cause yellow tongue.

Since you're in your 4th day of Induction, I'll move this thread to the "Atkins Diet 14-day Induction" forum.

I agree with msanjelpie. I have a lot of boxer friends. When they have to cut weight, the way the can tell how dehydrated they are is the amount of discolor on their tongue. If you're tongue has a lot of white, yellowish tint, you're very dehydrated. Try drinking a liter of water. If you're really worried, check with your doctor.
