Just finished my omlette and sausage patties and am ready to go out for another walk. Just some thoughts and observations for anyone who might need some encouragement. Two weeks ago I hit the scale at 280. I decided to try Atkins and comitt myself wholeheartedly to it; none of the three day all meat all the time false starts I had tried multiple times before after losing almost 60 lbs doing my version of Atkins a decade ago. This time I researched the diet, planned a menu and shopped accordingly and found ADBB, which has been a major positive for me. My eating habits have changed, I have incorporated veggies into my diet and find that I have more energy, a positive outlook and a real excitement about the lifestyle change that I am making.
When I started, I had some real doubts. Coming here and making a public committment was a big step in the right direction. If anyone out there is fearful about giving this a try, I'd encourage you to READ THE BOOK, use ADBB and let yourself off the hook about your weight. There are literally hundreds of people who are proving that this is a workable system, right on ADBB. Like the smilie says:
Best Wishes,
Mick
