Hi I am on induction day 4 and I've been doing great. However last night my boyfriend made steak and I showed him all the seasonings we usually use, that I can no longer eat, and he decided to "add a little beer." am I still ok? Or will this make a huge impact on the success of my induction??

Re: Hidden beer
There's no way to say how much it will affect you, because it depends on how your body handles foods. Probably not a lot, unless he used a lot of beer and you drank the liquid left. Don't add beer next time and keep this beer "cheat" in mind when you check the metabolic resistance charts on day 15.
Happy losing!

Re: Hidden beer
Given there's about 8-16 grams of carbs in a bottle of beer, and he added "a little" and I presume you shared (and didn't scrape your plate), I think you can rest assured that the impact won't be huge.
BUT do keep to a clean induction. And, if you can, start some moderate exercise.

Re: Hidden beer
If weight loss is important to you, have a discussion with your boyfriend about food preparation for you. And don't be afraid to ask how someone is going to prepare foods. I mean, if you were allergic to peanuts, you wouldn't eat something encrusted in peanuts just to be polite.
Next time, make him a meal and show that Induction can be tasty without having bad carbs.

Re: Hidden beer
Hey Mommy2mia,
Don't beat yourself up over it....im sure it wont affect your diet too much! Just keep going with what you've been doing...and like irish says....show the bf how its done!! Lol Trust me....I live with the biggest pig on the planet....He drinks beer as if it were his life supply of water, and he eats as many carbs as you can immagine, the thing that pisses me off?!?!?! He's sooooooo skinny! Never gains a pound! Drives me insane! So I set him straight, I started induction on Friday morning, and told my guy that I wont be eating and breads or nachos or anything like that! When we discussed dinner the other night, I said I was going to steam up some chicken and make it into a big salad, he didnt like the sounds of that....and microwaved a giant slab of lasagna....so when we sat down to eat together, he looked at mine and asked for a bite!! He loved it! and asked if i could make him one instead of his yucky lasagna! lol He's still eating junk and drinking beer and remaining skinny...and it will always drive me nuts!!!!
Anyways I've ranted on here enough....but just keep your head high and stay strong!!!
