  • is my 100% COCOA safe for induction?

Hi there im on Day 4 of induction and today i bought some Cadbury Cocoa (british make) and i thought i would have a go at making myself something with my splenda as a little treat, but im confised as to weather it actually safe or not.on the Ingrediants all it says is 100%COCOA, and on the nutrition info it says PER 100G of powder = 10.5 Carbs
Obviously i wount be using a lot.Could someone let me know if this is safe to use and how much of it can i use a day.I was thinking of making a batch of the chocolate icecream

creme frais, splida, coca, and cream, then freeze it in small portions.

Any advice? dont want to take a bit an evil bite if i cant have it hee!
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Gilly, :wave

Cocoa wouldn't be a good idea on induction it has a 7 grams of carbs per Tablespoon:
    • Nutrition Facts:

Gilly, I think it's important to remember that Induction is critical in many way ~ especially in conquering our cravings for sweets. It's become very obvious that folks who indulge in the so called "safe sweets" don't succeed on Atkins - not for very long.

It may be wiser, considering the problems you've had with Atkins to just tough out your Induction without these types of things. Soon your taste buds will re discover the natural sweetness of so many foods that they have long been numb to.

    Just a thought,

    Peter ha

I thought cocoa(unsweetened) was allowed in small amounts because it is listed as a spice? I know alot of people make those chocolate clouds with it. Could a mod clarify?

Yes, I'd like clarification too since mooiechat and spazzyhilo gave me recipes for induction with cocoa.
