  • hi everyone starting over with day 1 after long time off

i have had a really rough past couple of years and made me stop my diet and start eating things i know were not good for me bringing me back up to my now starting weight of 288.8.

in the last 2 years i was in a car wreck that totaled my car (i was turning after coming to a complete stop so i was going 5 mph and hthe car that slammed into me was going 65-70 mph..i was lucky i didn't break any bones and walked away from it, however had to go onto short term disability for a couple months to get back on my feet. then before i got back to work i was told i was laid off a job i had been at for 10 years. out of work for almost 5 months found a new job, liked it but after 8 months was laid off again 2nd time in 2 years!

now i am unemployed and my unemployment benefits are about to run out. living back at home with mom & dad (i am 32 years old & living with them can make me feel like i am a teenager again not in the good way if you know what i mean.

but i am trying to keep a positive outlook and am going to try to focus on myself for a change. no matter what they are making for supper (i am a carbaholic and while they shouldn't eat pasta and such they tend to and pasta is a major downfall for me) i will eat my meat & veggies in my room if i have to, to get away from temptation.

    Thanks everyone for listening!

Im glad you are getting back on track even after all that has happened to you. In the past year...I was hit by a car while walking across the street and ended up in trauma for two days clinging on life then 3 months later my boyfriend broke up with me. The thing to do is ALWAYS keep a positive attitude about everything. Basking in self pity does nothing for you. You are well on your way to doing well on Atkins. Even if you slip up, get back on the wagon...this is actually my day of restarting atkins.

Im rooting for you and keep us posted on your progress.

If you succeed in your weight loss goals, it will give you the strength and motivation to endure and overcome your other challenges in life. I'm sure of it.
