Anyways, here is a typical daily menu...please advise me if Im doing something wrong...I dont have the pee sticks so Im not sure if im in ketosis or not.

Breakfast: 1 lrg egg scrambled with cheese and grn onion
    1 piece of bacon
    Lunch: Chicken Caesar Salad
Dinner: Grilled Salmon with spinach and tomato slice

Snacks: Dont really feel hungry with all the water I've been drinking! however I do have crystal light and club soda or a diet gingerale once a day.

YOU be the judge!!!! Hopefully on friday I will have some motivating news on my weight and measurements! If not....I will still have 7 more days!! lol haha

It's very wise that you are not evaluating your results only in terms of weight loss. Dr. Atkins gave us a whole list of questions we should ask ourselves at the end of our 14-day Induction (Chapter 12, p. 147).

Your menu looks okay. I'm not sure how many cups of veggies you are eating from each list and what's in the caesar salad, but the foods appear to be "legal". Are you eating only 3 cups of vegetables, with not more than 1 cup from the "Other Vegetables" list?

Also make sure you are eating enough fat. Without knowing how you prepare food or whether you have a dressing on that salad, it seems to me that your fat intake is pretty low. You should be getting about 65% of your calories from fat and 30% from protein.

Drinks sweetened with aspartame can stall people or slow down their weight loss, which is why Dr. Atkins advised against using aspartame. Remember Dr. A. told us sweets should not be every day items on our menus, which is what Crystal Light is for you. My advice would be to ditch sweet drinks and choose only nutritious foods. If you occasionally need something sweet, make a nutritious dessert or some cinnamon tea (you don't need sweetener for it, imo). Here's the recipe for the tea: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...lly-sweet.html

      Hi there,

Thanks for your response. That menu was just what I had eaten yesterday. But I have been eating steak and eggs with breakfast patties and all sorts of other fatty foods aswell. In regards to the caesar salad I use one cup of romaine lettuce and cut up some mushrooms, green onion, and home made bacon bits. The sauce I use is Renee's Caesar dressing..0 carbs.
Im wondering about the crystal light though, its made with splenda and if i only have a glass of that per day..it shouldn't affect the diet too much. As for aspartame it is in the gingerale, and I know you are not supposed to have that at all...so I will cut that out all together.

This morning I made 2 eggs scrambled with cheese melted on it and a pork sausage breakfast patty. for lunch I will have a tuna salad with a tomato slice and supper is undecided yet! I am going to look into some recipes on Whats For Dinner Tonight Thread!

      Again,
Thanks for your input! I appreciate it very much

That's real bacon in the salad, right? I would count the dressing as 0.5 carbs per serving. The manufacturer is allowed to say 0 carbs if they are below 0.5. So if you are using more than 1 serving, the extra carbs could make a difference.

Onion, tomatoes and spinach are on the "Other Vegetables" list, so try to stick with maximum 1 cup of them (in total).

You found Crystal Light sweetened with Splenda? I know some members were looking for that stuff a while ago and all they could found was the aspartame-sweetened kind. Then yes, one glass is fine as long as you count the sweetener.
