  • Is this OK to have for a snack!!!

    I was wondering if Sugar Free Jello is ok for a snack while in the 14day Induction? It shows zero carbs O Sugars. It has asparatme and acesufame potassium as sweetners. HMMMMMM

    Aspartame is a staller for quite a few people, which is why Dr. Atkins told us to avoid it whenever possible. You can make your own jelly with unflavored gelatin, a legal sweetener and some flavor of your choice.

      Something else. Try to eat only when hungry or when 6 hours have passed since your last meal. Don't eat something just because it's zero carbs and avoid mindless snacking. It could be just me, but when I'm hungry I feel more satisfied eating some protein & fat with a few veggies rather than jelly.

        wow, thanks for the tip. I had a feeling This was one of those sugar free items I was going to have to watch out for. I should have asked yesterday before I went out and bought a pack. O-well I will pass them to someone else!! HEEHEE

            Also, the Hunts singles are made with Splenda...they have a carb or two but it also helps me with portion control!!

              Yes. I never made sweet jelly, but I imagine you could use vanilla essence, orange or lemon extract, lemon juice, etc.
