Re: Why am I in dark ketosis and not losing???

Assuming you want to lose about 40 pounds, you have already lost 10%, so are about on track for an average rate of loss.

We do not lose weight at an even rate, so there will be times that your weight stays the same or even goes up along your Atkins journey.

So continue eating to plan till your 14 days induction are over then move to OWL and start to climb the carb ladder.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

You are doing awesome!! Just cut the cottage cheese as it will cause your weight loss to be slower...I know how you feel though, My aunt used to do atkins and she said she could eat strawberries and whipped heavy cream ALL the time (wayyy long ago) and she tried to do it again using her "memory" and couldn't understand why she couldn't lose weight very well. I have told her she needs to read the DANDR 2002 edition and she refuses by saying that it worked then, it will work again...but then she quit because she couldn't make it work saying that it seems you can only lose weight on Atkins once and then it don't work again (not true)... These people here have done extensive research and know what works so I tend to follow their advice as much as possible.

Not exactly. Aspartame was for a very long time the artificial sweetener recommended by Dr. Atkins. 25% of the stalled patients of Dr. Atkins who contacted the Atkins Center for help were able to break their stall when giving up diet sodas. So it's not 25% of the people who consume aspartame, but 25% of the stalled Atkineers who bothered to ask Dr. Atkins for help and who also bothered to send him some feedback.
