  • I am brand new and I have a question.

    Hi Everyone,

I am brand new and writing my grocery list and menu for the next 2 weeks.
I have the Atkins essentials book and I am looking at the master induction list.
How much mayo can I have a day. I want to make tuna and egg salad and I am a person who needs measurements.
Also how many eggs a day can I have a day.

    Thank you all.

    Hello, beachlady

    Welcome to ADBB!

First thing - this board is based upon the rules of the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR for short). I have read THE ATKINS ESSENTIALS, and the information in that book differs from the book that Dr. Atkins wrote himself (DANDR).

Here is some information I've put together for those who are new or restarting 2002 Atkins. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...-new-read.html

    Give it a read, OK?

So based on the link you posted.
Mayo is not on your list.
Eggs it says liberally. So that means they do have carbs and I have to count them?

I will get a carb counter and figure it out myself.

If the ingredients in the mayo are on the list, you can have it.

Eggs do have some carbs... something like 0.6g per egg. I round up and count 1 carb per egg.

A lot of us use something like http://fitday.com/ or http://sparkpeople.com/ to track our foods. It takes a little getting used to, but they can be a handy tool.
