  • Severe nausea

    Hi everyone!

I woke up today, and felt great having finally got the scale to move by adding in fats.

I had 2 eggs with a tsp. of butter and 3 pieces of bacon for breakfast, and a 1/4 cup of onion soup (onion in beef broth) and 5 buffalo wings (no carbs as per nutritional info) for lunch.

Since then, I've been SEVERELY nauseous. I've tried sleeping, and can't even think about food but I haven't got my veggies or fat in for the day. Sips of water even make my stomach churn. Do you think maybe Diet Gingerale would be okay? I haven't had any sweetened so far.

Maybe the wings were bad, or is nausea maybe the 'induction flu'?

This is on day 14 or 15 of Induction, right? I doubt it's the "flu"...

I wouldn't have something with aspartame to "medicate" myself. What about some water with lemon or lime juice in it (2-3 tbsp are allowed per day)? Or some cold soup maybe? You could even hide some veggies it it.

Day 15, yes. I had 2 sips of normal gingerale (all I had) and dumped the rest before I was tempted. I had a drink of water after that and felt soooo sick. Hopefully tomorrow morning will be better.

I have no idea how Ginger Ale tastes, but if you have a lemon you can juice it in a glass (1 lemon yields about 3 tbsp of lemon juice), add water to taste and some Splenda or whatever sweetener you are using. Use carbonated water if you prefer it that way.

Or make a tea and add some Splenda.

Hopefully a good night sleep will do the trick.

Totally off topic. This is the image you have now for your ticker (if the link in your signature would be complete):

If you want it to show properly, you'll need to go back on the Tickers page, copy the BB code you are given and paste it in your signature. This will make the ticker look nice and when your weight changes, you just have to update your numbers on the Tickers page and your signature will automatically change (no need to paste the code again).

I found if I don't eat a small serving of vegetables in the morning (even a couple lettuce leaves) I feel quite nauseated until I eat again.

              Re: Severe nausea

Eggs make me really queasy after a few days. I often have to switch it up and eat less contemporary foods for breakfast like dinner leftovers from the night before.
