  • Confused about the "book"

I keep reading that everyone should have the red atkins book. Mine says, "Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution The low-carb approach" and it has a white cover. Is this the same thing? Also is it true we shouldnt be following the Atkins website?
    Thanks for the help!

    Re: Confused about the "book"

At ADBB we go by Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution, the 2002 edition. Is this the edition you have?

As for the website, Atkins Nutritionals changed the diet and it is no longer following DANDR 2002.

The edition has to be written somewhere. Did you check the inner cover? Is it the 1992 edition instead?

All I see regarding dates is the copyright and it says 1992, 1999, 2002 by Dr. Atkins. Maybe i'm just being dumb...LOL

Great! So you have the 2002 edition. That's the one you need.

I posted elsewhere about this too. I ordered the red cover book from Amazon but received a white cover book. It has the same ISBN and same pages based upon the "Peek Inside" so I think it's the right book.

There are a ton of different DANDRs out there with different covers and different dates from the different publishers. Sure IS confusing!

Glad you got the right book.

                  Re: Confused about the "book"

As long as we're all checking the editions here, any comments on mine? Well, I do have older ones, but the one I read is this one ...

It is paperback with a white cover and blue and red letters. The title is "DR. ATKINS' NEW DIET REVOLUTION".

At the top of the cover it says, in red letters, "COMPLETELY UPDATED! The Must-Have NEW Edition"

                  Inside it says:
                  AVON BOOKS
                  An Imprint of HarperCollinsPublishers
                  10 East 53rd Street
                  New York, New York 10022-5299

                  Copyright 1992, 1999, 2002 by Robert C. Atkins, M.D.
                  ISBN: 0-06-001203-X
                  www.avonbooks.com

First Avon Books paperback printing: January 2002

I never see one that looks exactly like this for sale, pretty sure I bought it in 2002. So far, when I see a quote and a page number from anyone here, mine seems to match. Is this one OK?

Good to know. I was beginning to think I bought the only one ever published.

Can I use Atkins for Life to SUPPLEMENT the 2002 copy of DANDR? One of the girls at work brought it in and it's still written by Dr. Atkins so is it OK to use??
