    Hi, kmuldrow!

    Thank you for your concern. According to Canadian law, Private Practices are not bound by the same rules, hence the 20 minute lunch. We have staff that go through the day with no lunch, and they're so tied up they have to send someone to grab them a coffee. I just made a pot roast with lots of shrunken veggies, hopefully that will help me get some in!

    Can anyone help me with an OWL question? I've lent my book out. The extra cup of veggies that's added in, is it salad only, or can it be 'non salad'. Just to double check...is broccoli an 'other' veggie? Thank you everyone!

      You are not adding a cup of veggies in OWL, but 5 net carbs of Induction vegetables to your Induction menu. If you choose to eat 5 net carbs of spinach only, you'll have to eat 12-13 cups (raw). So you might want to choose higher carb veggies, or at least combine super low carb veggies with higher carb ones.

      Yes, broccoli is on the "other" list.

        Thanks so much Georgiana!

        I will have 2 cups of salad, 1 cup of broccoli, and 5 net carbs of zucchini. Do you think this will slow down my weightloss, or I just wait and see?

          You're welcome.

          For me, the extra veggies in OWL accelerated weight loss. But everyone is different... Here is when it becomes important to keep a food journal and to pay attention to how different foods affect you.

            For me, the weight loss picked up when I started adding more veggie carbs. I stayed at 25 for a week or so and then added another 5 for a total of 30. My meals are far more interesting and I appear to be losing faster. Hope it continues, but that is my experience so far.
