I recently bought some uncooked sausage links at the grocery store, and they are 1g net for three of them (they are small). There is added sugar, but it is far down the list, like 4th or 5th. Are these okay to eat?

Re: sausage?
I couldn't eat them and lose weight, but some people have no problem consuming small amounts of sugar from processed meats. You need to decide if you want to try them. Just be aware that they might affect your weight loss, and next time try to find something without sugar. There are also recipes for homemade sausage in the Food & Recipes section of the Board.

Re: sausage?
While I only occasionally make sausage patties from scratch, in early Atkins I made them and froze them usually 4 to 5 pounds at a time. All you need is ground pork and spices to your liking. I used thinks like diced onion, celery, peppers, garlic, black pepper, sage, red pepper flakes or Frank's Hot Sauce, or oregano and basil. Go light on the spices initially, fry up a very small patty to taste it and then adjust your spices according to the flavors you like.
When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
