Pre-prepared wings may well have a coating which has flour or sugar in it.
What is on the list of ingredients?

    Edited to add:
here is a link to their website where there is a 800 phone number you could call and ask if you dont have the package handy

Theres your answer right there...wheat flour...corn starch...all these are things that you aren't allowed to eat on this diet...read the book it will really help and print out the acceptable foods list at the top of this page...if its not on there don't eat it...plain chicken wings are allowed...nothing breaded...check the recipe section for tips on how to prepare it...some people coat it in crushed pork rinds or make it buffalo wing style.

Parmesan cheese is also a great addition to suffice as breading if needed as well. Been there, done that on buying foods that seemed acceptable, but their hidden ingredients showed something different. Franks Hot Sauce, Butter, and Cholula is a great topping to any wings or chicken. I would wait in having these until much later in the diet (say wheat rung or pre-maintenance).

Ditto. Try making your own wings, add legal hot sauce and then freezing them in containers for a quick meal. I think mine are way better anyway.

I haven't found any prepared ones that don't have the bad stuff in them.

Once you start reading labels, which is really a must, you'll be shocked at where sugar and/or starches are hidden.
