  • End of my first 2 weeks of Induction.

    Hi All,
Today is the end of 2 weeks of Induction. I was cheat free. I lost 11#. I thought I would lose a little more because of my starting weight but....it is what it is. Last Thursday my weight went up a few pounds and didn't move down again until today. UGH!
Anyway, I could not have done it without the support of the board and getting all my questions answered and getting food ideas and recipe ideas. (Ya can't eat hard boiled eggs all day!!!LOL)
I am going to continue Induction, take it a week at a time and see how it goes.

    Thanks,
    ~Mary

Great job! And you should be very happy with 11 pounds, that's almost 10% of how much you plan to lose total! I had more weight to start with and only lost 7 pounds in Induction, so be proud!

      Excellent!

I, too, started with more than you did and lost a little less (10 lbs., I think) on induction. If you look at the graph in my profile, you'll see it has been slow (age, underactive thyroid likely play into this) but steady ever since.

Taking it a step at a time and keeping the faith is the way to go. Wishing you continued success.

        Well done so far, Mary

Keep up the good work, and make sure you think about the '4 questions' in Chapter 13 now and again to help you decide when to move to the main weightloss phase of Atkins (ongoing weight loss/OWL)
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

          Thanks everyone!
I forgot to tell you I joined a health club Saturday. Actually it is part of the local park district. But it has all the usual machines and weights. And there are classes to take: yoga, pilates, cardio, Belly dance, bollywood, just to name a few.
Today is my third day exercising there. I am only doing the elyptical for a while and then I will move on, probably buy a personal trainer 1X to get me on the right track. I was never on an Elyptical before in my life, and today I made it through for 30 minutes at about 2.8-3 mph. I am really feeling it now!!!

Also, you should be more proud of the fact that you've been completely on-plan than the amount you've lost. Great willpower and determination!
