  • Can I eat this in induction?

Hi, me and my husband love tacos and we plan on having them, me without the shell of course. Is this okay to eat? We use hamburger meat with the seasoning, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and sour cream and a lil bit of the salsa. So is this okay for me to eat?

If the ingredients in salsa are all okay and the taco seasonings have no sugar added, then it's all fine. And you can make yourself a cheese taco shell, instead of the real stuff: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...cipe-pics.html

I've never seen pre-made taco seasoning that didn't have added sugar. If you find some pelase let me know the brand because I'd sure like to find some. =/

      You could make your own:

      1 tablespoon chili powder
      1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
      1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
      1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
      1/2 teaspoon paprika
      1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
      1 teaspoon sea salt
      1 teaspoon black pepper
      Grant

I use the generic Safeway brand - it has no sugar
and I think Tostitos is sugar free too.

I've also noticed that a lot of taco seasonings seem to have some sort of food starch. One brand I saw actually had the main ingredient listed as "yellow corn meal flour" (or something like that)

This is a case where you should read all the ingredients on the label and understand what they are. Grant's recipe for taco seasoning is pretty much what I use.

When we have taco's I never do without -- I make the cheese shells Georgiana gave the link to - I just don't put cheese on top of my taco because you don't need to. I've yet to eat more than 1 "cheese" taco shell.

            Good luck.

After I started to make my own everyone says they prefer it.
