I don't think that it is slow. Almost everyone loses a lot the first week and then it slows down. You don't have a lot to lose so 9 pounds in 2 weeks is good. At your weight about the best that you can haope for on a long term average is a kilogram a week. You're doing good.

Thank you. That really reassured me.

ps: I'm a chinese and we asians have smaller built. In fact according to my country, woman with BMI over 23 is considered overweight.

I suggest not weighing yourself everyday. It is only a dissapointment if you don't loose or if you don't loose a lot.
If you weigh yourself once a week or once every 2 weeks the weight loss is more and I like that better.

Your doing great! You have lost a good amount in two weeks. That is the main thing.

        Good luck!!

Stay clean and on the programme. I think it is looking good. Very normal to see some pause the second week. You are right on schedule there.

Hey guys, I realised I made a mistake on my 5th day of induction. I had about 1 and a half cup of soy milk (unsweetened). I thought since Soy powder is allowed for baking as per atkins website. I could drink it for induction. But I just realised soy milk is only allowed in OWL. Perhaps that's what paused my weight loss. I've was pondering through my menu for that few disappointing days. I eliminated all possibilities (Cranberry Tea, decaf coffee, and soy milk.) Did I just spoilt my induction? If so, shall I stay on induction longer to compensated for the lost? My target weight is 52kg. This is the optimal weight for my height. I'm standing at 162cm.

The atkins website does not follow Dandr. They have their own rules (many of which included buying their products. They are a commercial company living off products)

Follow the rules in the book. And according to the rules of the book soy protein is not OK. Isolated whey protein may be fine. A little tofu may be fine.

Do you want to share your whole menu?
The rule for induction is just to continue as normal. A slip here and there should not make us start over.

Re: Weight loss slowed significantly on 2nd week induction

Hi. I find it difficult to eat enough. MY cooking sucks sometimes.

                Yesterday's
                Breakfast:
3 cups Romaine LEttuce and 5 slices of collar pork
                Lunch:
1 sunny side up and pork
                Dinner:
                pork

                Usually
                Breakfast:
                Chicken breast/salmon
                Lunch:
Salad ( I use sour cream and mayo)
                Dinner:
                Chicken breast

I usually have chicken but kinda grow sick of chicken. I've already eliminated all possible illegal items since day8.

If Romaine is the only veggie you eat - constipation may be an issue for sure. Try to include other. There is a very long list in the book of allowed veggies. Also spread your veggies out a bit. You should not eat them all at one meal.

Your diet looks high in protein and low in fat
Try logging into FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal and find out if your fat percentage is around 65. It should be.

Keep going. You're off to a good start. All of us see a pause in that second week. It is a bummer week for many but then things start up again.
