No. Gyro meat is not okay, unless you make your own or ask (or check the label) to make sure all the ingredients are "legal". Bread crumbs, rusk and other grain products are often added to bulk up things. If you're not sure what's in the meat, then better don't eat it.

I eat shorma meat which is a lot like gyro meat (same cut) just different seasons. I always look at the label and pick the slightly more expensive one without sugar. It is out there, just look for it.
