Can we have pork rinds while on Induction? sometimes I miss some type of treat when I'm watching a movie.

    Re: Pork rinds

Pork rinds are allowed during Induction, but should be consumed in moderation since they have a lot of salt and may cause water retention. They are also high in protein, which, if consumed in excess, will be converted into glucose and therefore interfere with weight loss.

Eating pork rinds when watching a movie is a bad idea, because you are not eating to satisfy your hunger, but simply out of habit (a bad habit). Furthermore, even if you start eating pork rinds because you are hungry, watching a movie will likely prevent you from seeing the borderline between eating to feed your hunger and snacking mindlessly.

Snacking on Atkins is okay, but should only be done because we are hungry or because we need to use the 6-hour rule.

Thanks G. Why are bad habits soooo hard to break? (rhetorical question)
