so... i'm on day 12 and the scale teeters between 4-6 lbs. for which i am stoked about. however, i see so many others with much more off. i'm curious as to why i am not having the same results. i'm following it, truly. ketonstix pink-purple since day 3, percentages are right on as well. my only downfall is occassionally only 3 L of H2O... occassionally. the poundage lost came the first week. i started running day 7 and incorporated weights day 11. could the water be the culprit or is this the norm for some?? will the weight eventually start melting?

Re: day 12-- not much off
Hi lady
I am transferring you to the induction board. I think that is where tis belong.
Congratulation on making it to day 12 and losing pounds that is great. And great that you joined the milage challenge too.!!!!
I think many of us see a little bit of a pause in week two. The body is just being stubbern but then things will start moving again. Hang in there. It is happening.
If you want to- share your menu and people will point out if there is anything to tweak.
Keep working on that water!!!! It is good stuff.

Not everyone looses a large mount of weight -- you are different than the next person so don't think things aren't right with you.
Water is essential to Atkins -- don't stop drinking it -- make sure it's pure water --- nothing added.
Try postin your menu's Review My Menu - Atkins Diet (everything you eat with amounts) -- someone might be able to find something you are overlooking.
Don't give up -- you are doing fine!Carole_____________________May Water 130oz daily

Re: day 12-- not much off
Carole is right on the money. I lost more weight initially than you did. (I don't expect to keep it up.) Some reasons I can think of:
1. I had a large amount of recently gained weight, which I think comes off quicker.
2. I'm a diabetic who was out of control, on blood pressure medications which contain a diuretic. I spent a lot of time in the bathroom this past week, so I'm pretty sure I had a huge amount of water weight to drop.
3. I have a great deal more to lose than you do.
I hope I am brave enough to add exercise soon, as you did. Keep on trucking.
