Do you have a measuring cup? A cup is around 250 ml.
Congratulations on the loss. That is really great.

I've seen many UK members who prefer to weigh their veggies (don't try weighing lettuces though ). If you have a kitchen scale, you can use this list to convert from cups to grams: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...p-measure.html

Oops! I missed this question. You certainly didn't lose 8 lbs of fat in 2 days. Nevertheless, those 8 lbs lost (water and some fat combined) mean 8 lbs less you need to carry around and 8 lbs that no longer put a strain on your body.

I really suggest picking up a digital kitchen scale with the Tare feature. I couldn't believe how inaccurate my food measurements were before I got one...I was consistently UNDER in my measurements of veggies and protein. Now I'm getting the proper amounts.

If that's not an option right now if you don't have them already, pick up some of those nesting measuring cups and measuring spoons. Also, a couple of those glass measuring "pitchers" with the little spout for measuring liquids in a couple of different sizes. You'll need these anyways for basic cooking.

Why not?? I found it to be more accurate than trying to stuff leaves into a cup.

Take your hand and make a fist... that's about the size of a cup...

You can buy US-style measuring cups in most large supermarkets as well as places like 'poundland' and the '99p shop' and posh cookery shops.

If you have a UK measuring jug one cup (8 fluid ounces) equals 237 mls.
