Re: slim fast shakes????
It's our collective experience on ADBB that the low carb bars/shakes/etc. have the tendency to stop or slow weight loss in some people, so we can't recommend them during Induction Phase. During Induction Phase it is important to maximize your weight loss because you will have a better idea of how to plan with the rest of your ATkins.Originally posted by silkhair1 View PostCan you have the low carb slim fast shakes on induction? I know there will be people who will tell you that they drink/eat these products and haven't had any problems with losing weight. But unless they have compared their weight loss using these products to their weight loss not using them, it's really impossible for them to say they haven't had any weight loss problems.
In the end the choice is yours. But just be aware that there is a tendency for these products to stop/slow weight loss.

By the way, I do realize that Dr. ATkins wrote that these products are okay to use "when you are unable to find an appropriate snack". But if you are
"unable to find an appropriate snack" daily, then you aren't really using them as Dr. ATkins intended.

For a quick breakfast:Originally posted by silkhair1 View PostThank you, I was just looking for a quick breakfast.
- boil more eggs at once and make deviled eggs from them; you can do this during the weekend if you can't find time during the week
- have leftovers from dinner or lunch as breakfast the next day
- Camembert cheese warmed up in the microwave with sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil is a yummy combination and requires no "morning cooking"
- before you go to bed, make a soup in the blender (it takes only a few minutes) and have a chilled _____ soup for breakfast; if you have little protein in the soup and only carbs and fat, add some protein to your breakfast (an ounce of cheese would do) or you will be hungry soon after you ate

Oh, and below is the link to episodes from Jacques Pepin's show "More Fast Food My Way". The recipes we does at the beginning of the show take only a few minutes to make. They are not all Induction-friendly, but compare the ingredients against the Induction Acceptable Foods List and see what can you eat now and what you can look forward to trying on OWL (when you can eat nuts, legumes, grains, etc.).
