  • DAy 4 zero energy for exercise HELP!

    Hey everyone,

Im just wondering... I have no energy since day 2 of induction not even to walk to school to collect my son which is a mile away. When do the energy levels begin to pick up? Im back to work in three weeks, Im a nurse so that means 12 hours of non stop exercise throughout the day!

I know Im in ketosis, my son hopped into my bed this morning for our usual chat before breakfast and he couldnt even lie beside me because my breath smelled that bad lol! Im assuming this is KETOSIS!!! Am I correct to assume?

If anyone has any ideas of moderate exercise I could do between now and returning to work I would be very greatful!

My house is a mess I dont even have the energy to vacum the living room or dress the beds which is so unlike me as Im anal about the house being reasonably tidy

    Thanks you guys

    xxx

PS just a rant, my husband is being so good to me, Im shocked... he said I deserve to have my pre pregnancy body back AWWAH! sorry just thought Id share he he! xxx

Your energy levels should be back up soon. Many people feel kinda lousy on days 2-5, and then they are more on the side.

Are you taking a multivitamin? If you don't feel better after the first week, you might consider taking some L-carnitine. This helps with the transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria, so if you are carnitine deficient, it might improve your energy level. But from what I've seen at ADBB, almost everyone feels much better in their second week, after the Induction flu is gone.

Before starting Atkins, did you see your doctor to check if you need additional nutritional supplements, like potassium or iron, for example?

Yes I saw my GP and he recommended a strong multi vitimin which gives me a great boost of energy! I hope this passes soon. Does the bad breath thingy soon go aswell?

i didn't even exercise until week two (which is now). I really wanted to plan and get things organized before I started my work out routines.
As the others suggested try the multivitamin- don't worry your energy will come back.

this is a sign of keotsis -- it's how you know your body is in fat burning mode. Brush your teeth and/or use a mouthwash several times a day to keep your mouth feeling fresh.
