  • Quick water question?

If i saved all my sugars and i have a flavored water which is 2 servings but says no sugar no carb no calories and has dextrose do I count that as 2 sugars? Dextrose is splenda right? Thanks for any help

    Re: Quick water question?

No Dextrose is sugar, not splenda. Saccarine is splenda.

Everything sweetened with artificial sweeteners counts against the 3 maximum daily servings of artificial sweeteners. So if you have 2 servings of a water sweetened with splenda, that is 2 out of the 3.

I think you meant sucralose, not saccharin.

If you are looking for something other than pure water (so, it does not count towards your minimum 64 oz) to drink, here are some suggestions:
          • water with some lemon or lime juice in it, or a slice of lemon or lime (but don't eat it, obviously )
          • tea --- you can either make regular decaf tea and, if you prefer, sweeten it, or you can make cinnamon tea, which is naturally sweet and doesn't require any sweetener (I'm not exaggerating); Megs explained here how to make cinnamon tea: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...lly-sweet.html
          • chilled veggie soups (cucumber, zucchini, avocado, tomatoes, etc.)
          • other soups...

And once you move to OWL, you can have stuff like yogurt, almond milk, coconut milk, soy milk, etc.

Just make sure you get your 64 ounces of pure water in daily.
