  • so i'm gonna start soon...

I did the whole intro to myself a while back. I wasn't planning on starting until after the 23rd of August because I was going away. Turns out I went on vacation and came back with a flu strain and was just feeling awful for a couple weeks. Now I'm back to normal but still not sure about this whole thing.

I don't really have a lot of weight to lose, I'm about 120lbs now, but I have a lot of excess body flab everywhere (not sure what from, maybe losing weight so quickly...) and I'm not sure whether Atkins could help me with that. My naturopath just recently diagnosed me with a candida infection (not a yeast infection haha) and I'm thinking that an extremely low carb diet will help, what do you think??

Will doing Atkins help me lose the body jiggle and get me down to my "ideal" weight whatever that is? Will it help with future candida infections and my overall health??
Gluten and dairy free since March 09!
Lost 55lbs in 4 months not eating gluten or dairy.
    5'0" 120lbs - wouldn't mind 115 after I'm done Atkins
    Being healthy never felt better.

I would think that eating Atkins and exercising would enable you to lose that 'jiggle' so maybe do a 2 week induction then move straight to OWL.

As you don't have a lot of pounds excess you will probably find only a small loss on induction but don't let that faze you into thinking Atkins is not 'working'.

As for your candida problems, we have a candida forum which might help you work out which foods to choose for induction to help alleviate that problem.
    Candida (Yeast) - Atkins Diet
It isn't that 'active' at present but has several really informative threads at the top of the forum as well as many other discussions about how people make Atkins work for clearing things up.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
