Alright, I may have found what is stalling me.

How many carbs are in a whole large hard-boiled egg? Some materials say zero, some say one or two. I have been averaging three eggs a day which wouldn't even be allowed on induction if it is two carbs per.

    Should I quit eating eats?

    Re: Carbs in Eggs

Eggs have .6 gms/carbs per egg. I doubt seriously that they're your staller. Most folks can eat as many eggs as they like, so don't worry about that. Perhaps if you post some of your menus, some of the folks here could help you find the culprit.

In induction you are allowed up to 20 g carbs per day (most of which should come from veggies), so you're ok with eggs. They are a terrific food!

Well I was just figuring most being around 15. If eggs have two each and I eat three then I am already at 21 grams for that day without anything else.

Thanks for the advice on the posting a menu. I will go do that int he correct section of the forums when I get home and can check labels.

Even rounding up to 1g per egg, that would only bring you to 18g per day. You might want to post a typical day's menu -- we might be able to spot the culprit!

I'm not sure you're understanding this diet correctly. It's 20 carbs a day, not 2.

Do you want to post a sample menu for the day? Perhaps you're making some other errors (it's easy to make mistakes when you're getting the hang of it) or we can help you ID what's stalling you?

Sounds like your crockpot wasn't fully cleaned from the last time you made a roast and when the eggs boiled, the shell cracked a little bit and leftover "broth" made its way inside. That being said, I'd never mess around with eggs that are even slightly off color, off smell, or off taste.

I'm pretty sure the OP meant two carbs per egg, not two carbs per day, which would have probably given him too many non-veggie carbs.

Aaron, how tall are you? I see your weigh (140something) is quite low already. The fact that you are at a low/healthy weight or have little to lose will make your weight loss slow if you look at it in pounds. For someone with 10 lbs to lose, 1 lb is 10% (quite a lot!) of the weight he wants/needs to lose.

And remember a stall is defined as four consecutive weeks without pounds or inches lost. So you are not stalled.

Here is a sample of a daily meal for me.

Some are a little off as my items have slightly different profiles.

                        The guac is just avacado,onion,cilantro
No sugar in the beef, mayo, jalapenos. I made the chicken myself.

Thanks for any help. If you can find a chink in my plan let me know

I'm pretty sure I understand it. I did mean "per." For some reason my book of nutrition facts at home counts eggs as 2 carbs per egg. All I was saying was 15g net carbs veggies + 6g net carbs eggs = over 20.

I see most people consider an egg under one carb though and I will realign my thinking.

I've had a little bit of blood in the whites before in farm-raised eggs. I'm not too sure on that smell though unless you just mean the sulfur smell.

I agree stall was probably a poor word. I am 5-10 and I do not have much to lose like I said.

Here is my worry that I mentioned this in my thread in the OWL forum.

For the first two weeks I was definitely in ketosis. My breathing was different, I was experiencing diuretic effects, my test strips were medium purple all the time, and some other obvious signs.

Right when I was about to move to OWL, all this stopped. Since 4 weeks in considered a stall do I keep moving up those 4 rungs and if I find out I really am stalled drop all the way back to rung 1? Should I postpone OWL and stay on induction(I already started rung one but it too late to drop back)? I don't want to stay on induction too long as I want time to learn my CCLL and trigger foods.

Do you still have the appetite suppressant effect of ketosis?

Your menu looks good, but I don't think you have enough veggies. Did you measure three cups? Avocado does not count as a veggie during Induction. In fact, 1/2 a small avocado and heavy cream in amounts above 2-3 tbsp are two items from the Special Category Foods, which are foods that may stall or slow down weight loss for some people.

Are you exercising? Taking your vitamins? Measuring your foods properly (weighing, using measuring cups)?

Exercising? About an hour and a half at 3.5mph a day. Vitamins.....I forgot to take all my glocosamine for a couple days now and I am feeling the effects of ketosis again.*reads Glucosamine label*....crap. It has almost two grams of carbs per pill and I was taking four to six a day for a bit. I will double check my salad measurements but I think I found the problem.

I never really had the appetite suppressant effects other than not craving carbs. I am always pretty hungry even when I was heavy in ketosis but I don't see this as a concern.

I will probably drop the avacado when I am out of it just to be safe. I am not a huge fan anyways.

                            Thanks for all the help.
