    TRUE. Fat burning, or lipolysis, controls appetite by not making you feel hungry.

    3. Your essential fatty acid supplement should include gamma-linolenic acid (GLA)
    TRUE. See the nutritional supplement section of Chapter 11.

    4. People with severe kidney disease should not do Atkins.
    TRUE. People with severe kidney disease are in a special category and need to be monitored by their physicians. People with normal kidneys, however, can do Atkins---which is why it's very important to have a physician examine you before you begin this or any weight loss diet.

    5. Low glycemic vegetables contain a relatively less sugar.
    TRUE. See Chapter 8 for a discussion on the glycemic index.
