..and it's actually very very easy to eat Atkins when you're on holiday!
Every place I went was more than happy to substitute something for the carby foods.
Breakfasts I had were omelettes, no toast, substituting tomato for the hashbrowns...mmm..Ask them if they grill the tomatos..omg..so good!
Lunch on one day was dry ribs (I didn't use the dip) and a grilled salmon mixed greens salad with capers..oh good lord..so yummy (bf and I shared these)
Dinner the first night was shrimp and scallops fire grilled on a skewer, with a fantastic steak, and sauteed onion/red/yellow peppers, started off with a caesar salad (no croutons). SO delicious and it was Atkins friendly without me having to substitute anything!
The next night we went to a Persian restaurant and I had beef on a skewer with a big salad and a grilled roma tomato. I just said hold the rice and load the plate up with salad please!
So don't be shy...ask if you need to know ingredients, or if you want to know what's in something. Look at it as an adventure and enjoy!
